Physician Incentives
- Our Site Visit Program reimburses you (and a guest) for a one-time visit to a potential practice site. You must be eligible for a license in Nova Scotia, and work with a recruiter to obtain approval from Nova Scotia Health prior to your visit.
- Qualified candidates may be eligible for a relocation allowance of up to $20,000 CAD upon accepting an offer in Nova Scotia.
- Family physicians and specialists in the Central Zone may be eligible for up to $75,000 CAD in incentives. Those establishing practices outside the Central Zone may be eligible for up to $125,000 CAD over five years.
- Physicians in Nova Scotia are provided with health and dental benefits, EMR grants, funded locum coverage, CME funding, and parental leave.

Physician Assistant Opportunities
Nova Scotia Health is seeking experienced physician assistants with a minimum of three years of experience and graduates of an accredited UK-based Physician Associate program.
As a Physician Associate in the UK, you are known as a Physician Assistant in Canada. This exciting role was introduced in 2019 through a pilot program in orthopedic surgery and has since expanded rapidly. Today, PAs are integral to four emergency sites and 20 primary care facilities across Nova Scotia. By joining us, you will play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare while delivering exceptional care in one of Canada’s most picturesque provinces.
