Physicians in Nova Scotia are provided with health and dental benefits, EMR grants, funded locum coverage, CME funding, and parental leave.
Qualified candidates may be eligible for a relocation allowance of up to $20,000 upon accepting an offer in Nova Scotia.
Family physicians and specialists in the Central Zone may be eligible for up to $75,000 in incentives. Those establishing practices outside the Central Zone may be eligible for up to $125,000 over five years.

Physician Assistant Opportunities

It’s an exciting time to be a Physician Assistant (PA) in Nova Scotia. Physician associates are known as Physician Assistants in Canada. Introduced in 2019 through a pilot program in Orthopedic Surgery, the role of PAs has since expanded significantly, now encompassing four emergency sites and 20 primary care facilities. As a PA, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing your profession—educating and delivering outstanding healthcare across this stunning coastal region.
