Radiation Therapist Tuition Sponsorship
Nova Scotia Health's Expression of Interest - Radiation Therapist Tuition Sponsorship is an educational opportunity available to students* interested in working at the Cape Breton Cancer Centre or QEII Cancer Centre and are accepted to the Radiation Therapy offered through The Michener Institute of Education at UHN/University of Toronto. Successful candidates will potentially be offered clinical placement at the Cape Breton Cancer Centre or QEII Cancer Centre. Tuition sponsorship will included up to $10,000 per year. After successful completion of the program, candidates will be considered for vacancies within the Radiation Therapy program at Cape Breton Cancer Centre or QEII Cancer Centre.
*Preferences will be given to Nova Scotia residents, however, candidates from outside Nova Scotia can apply.

QEII Cancer Centre
Located within the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Nova Scotia's largest urban centre, Halifax. QEII Cancer Centre is the largest specialized cancer centre in Atlantic Canada. The QEII recently became the first hospital in the world to obtain an Ethos therapy system. The ultimate goal of this innovative technology and its accompanying research is unlocking fewer radiation treatments, better cancer outcomes, reduced side effects, more time at home with family, and reduced financial burden on patients and the healthcare system.

Cape Breton Cancer Centre
Located within the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney, Cape Breton, the Cape Breton Cancer Centre provides a full range of cancer care and support including radiation therapy. The Cape Breton Cancer Centre currently is undergoing a transformational redevelopment project that will provide a more comfortable, supportive centre focused on patients and their families. Technology and additional supports under one roof will enhance the quality of care for patients, closer to home, and reduce the number of visits over the course of treatment.
