Nova Scotia Health is committed to hiring all nursing graduates and is offering signing bonuses for Graduate Nurses and Graduate Practical Nurses starting at $5,000 for some programs/units with potential for up to $10,000 for rural placements. Signing bonuses for Graduate Nurse Practitioners start at $10,000.

The Government of Canada offers Canada Student Loan forgiveness to eligible family doctors, residents in family medicine, nurse practitioners, and nurses who work in under-served rural or remote communities that lack the primary health care they need.
Grad Nurse Open Houses are monthly, open forums for student nurses to connect directly with Nova Scotia Health and hiring managers. Here, we offer a comfortable space to ask questions about practice, perks and compensation.
