About the Opportunity

The Unit Aide provides support to the unit staff and/or department activities contributing to efficient and effective operations.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
 

  • Successful completion of Grade 12 required
  • Successful completion of a recognized Medical Terminology course is preferred
  • Current WHMIS certification required
  • Recent NVCI training / certification considered an asset
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications for Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in current Meditech applications (Admissions/OE/EMR) is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a busy area and to adapt to frequent interruptions in activities (flexible/adaptable)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a polite, courteous and pleasant attitude towards patients, staff and co-workers
  • Demonstrated physical ability to lift and transfer heavy loads required
  • Demonstrated ability to function well as a team member required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent, Full-Time position; 75 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$19.90 - $22.28 Hourly
