Our teams of emergency care providers are on the frontline of providing urgent medical care to patients in critical condition in Nova Scotia. They work in the emergency department (ED) where they assess patients' medical needs, stabilize acute conditions, and initiate necessary interventions to address emergencies such as trauma, heart attacks, and severe infections.
Emergency professionals triage patients based on the severity of their condition, prioritize care, and collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure timely and effective treatment. They are trained to handle a wide range of medical emergencies, administer medications, perform procedures, and provide life-saving interventions.
