About the Opportunity

Under the direction of the Head of the Department of Urology, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Head by effectively coordinating the day-to-day operation of the office.  The position coordinates all administrative activities, establishes administrative procedures and guidelines and acts as a liaison with the other administrative assistants in the Department.  This position is responsible for supporting other management team members on occasion.  

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or secretarial program is required.  Undergraduate degree is an asset.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience, providing administrative support and office coordination at the executive level, preferably within healthcare (Equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable)
  • Experience with and excellent knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Experience managing calendars, filing, collecting data, compiling statistical information and assisting with report preparation
  • Knowledge of hospital and university administrative procedures an asset
  • Excellent familiarity with all Microsoft Office Programs (including Zoom and MS Teams), scanning programs, website and internet applications and SharePoint
  • Excellent organizational ability, ability to work and communicate with people with courtesy, efficiency and tact
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision or direction
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and work independently
  • Experience working with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent, full-time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$23.78 - $29.73 Hourly
