We will do this by hiring Intern Pharmacists who will be completing studies in the next 12 months. The Pharmacist has accountability and responsibility for the procurement and dispensing of medications, as well as their safe and effective use by patients, the prevention of disease and the promotion of health and wellness and independent prescribing within collaborative practices. The Pharmacist provides information about the optimal use of medications and promotes the cost effectiveness of medications through evidence-based decision making. Further, pharmacists contribute to the knowledge base of drug information by partaking in practice-based research initiatives and promoting evidence-based practice or services through drug use evaluation.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Eligible for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists
- Competencies in other languages asset; French preferred

Hours
Various permanent, assignments (temporary), casual relief (no guarantee of hours), and opportunities available in various locations throughout Nova Scotia.
Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
You will be given the opportunity to specify your work hours and location preferences in the application.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive compensation
- Intern Pharmacist - $46.11 per hour
- Pharmacist - Starting at $49.82 per hour after you provide proof of your active-practicing license with the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists
- Signing bonuses starting at $5000 for some programs/units with potential for up to $10,000 for rural placements
