About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Power Engineer the 3rd Class Station Engineer performs a variety of tasks that ensure the safe, efficient and continuous operation of the chiller plants, all high-pressure steam equipment, pressure vessels, water treatment programs, and all related auxiliary equipment as well as building mechanical systems at their assigned site.
The 3rd Class Station Engineer completes rounds of building mechanical rooms and must have a basic understanding of other building maintenance trades as he inspects various mechanical systems, ex: medical gas/air/vacuum system, air handling units (ventilation), heating systems, fire water pumping system. The 3rd Class Power Engineer is also responsible for silent hour emergency calls.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Designation as a Standardized Nova Scotia 3rd Class Station engineer required
- One year experience in a high-pressure plant (steam) and associated equipment required
- Good knowledge of the operation of boilers, chillers, HVAC and other electrical machinery
- Strong safety track record and mindset is a must
- Knowledge of applicable safety codes
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

- Permanent, Full-Time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits
$27.92 - $28.45 Hourly
