The NSH Integrated Workforce Planning Team (IWP) aligns the delivery of health care services with targeted workforce strategies, using both data and analytics and professional practice, to optimize the workforce using the Recruit, Retain, and Redesign framework. IWP uses workforce projections to develop strategies with leaders for the top critical and scare professions for the organization.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Integrated Workforce Planning, the Integrated Workforce Planning Lead leads the multidisciplinary team responsible for the delivery of integrated workforce planning for their provincial portfolio area and assigned priority professions. The Integrated Workforce Planning Lead plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to senior leaders to achieve success in developing an integrated workforce plan and ensuring the plan aligns with NSH’s mission, vision and strategic plan. The Lead is responsible to support senior leaders with workforce planning, facilitate best practice and resource plan frameworks, and collaborate and lead discussions with operations and support teams to achieve results. With a focus on integration and continuous improvement, this role collaborates with operational leaders and key stakeholders to inform the resources required to meet workforce demand and service standards. This role is critical in supporting a high performing team that focuses on integration, continuous improvement and ensures experience is always consistent with NSH values.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
 
•    Post-secondary education in the areas of Communications, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or Business Administration required, Masters preferred.
•    Equivalencies of education or experience may be considered.
•    Current registration with professional association if applicable.
•    IAP2 Certification an asset.
•    Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in health care and /or planning capacity
•    Experience in forecasting and planning with strong operations background, preferably in workforce planning
•    Experience in the achievement of targets in an operational environment
•    Knowledge of workforce planning quality assurance frameworks, best practices and trends
•    Knowledge and understanding of health professions and labour regulations is desirable
•    Strong organizational and process management skills
•    Ability to think critically, quickly, and accurately; creative problem-solving ability
•    Demonstrated leadership in facilitation with multiple stakeholders and service providers
•    Superior communication skills – written, oral, presentation
•    Coordination and Strategy/Project Management Skills
•    Understanding of Behaviour Change Techniques
•    Demonstrated experience and knowledge of business systems and processes including practical application/use of Microsoft suite of products and other tools, data analytics and reporting capabilities
•    Desktop publishing an asset
•    Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Permanent, Full time; 75 Hours Bi-Weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$40.15 - $50.19 hourly
$78,294 - $97,868 annually
