About the Opportunity
The OPOR Clinical Engagement Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to interprofessional teams within a patient-centered, collaborative practice model focused on OPOR-CIS and technology-enabled clinical adoption, support, and training activities. The Manager is responsible for driving effective communication strategies and leading organizational change management initiatives to support successful clinical adoption and transformation.
Working collaboratively with management, staff, physicians, community partners, and service providers, the Manager applies strategic thinking and analytical expertise to overcome challenges, ensuring sustained and meaningful use of technology, including CIS, to enhance clinical best practices and deliver high-quality, safe, and cost-effective care. The goal is to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
Exhibiting sound professional judgment and initiative, the Manager aligns their efforts with the objectives of the OPOR Program, as well as the mission, vision, and strategic directions of IWK and NS Health.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Masters degree in health related or adult education field
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ leadership experience (either formal or informal) within healthcare
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in adult education, healthcare training, and planning healthcare education
- Knowledge of best practice related to adult education, healthcare training, and design and deliver of healthcare education
- Strong writing and editing skills. Knowledge of Canadian Press editorial style.
- Experience developing and facilitating strategies consistent with the principles of adult education, healthcare training, and planning healthcare education
- Demonstrated proficient knowledge of healthcare industry required; familiarity with clinical and administrative hospital functions and departments preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with complex projects in health care environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in program planning, financial and human resource management, oral and written communication and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to successfully change, adapt, overcome, and cope with unexpected challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external partners across the healthcare continuum.

- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, internet, email.
- Demonstrated regular attendance in current and previous employment.
- Physical and mental capabilities to perform the duties of the position such as managing multiple priorities, time-sensitive deadlines, stressful situations, working flexible/extended hours and travelling within and outside NSH as necessary
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License and access to reliable vehicle.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

- Demonstrates strategic, creative and strong analytical and organizational skills.

- Long-assignment, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Biweekly

Compensation and Benefits
$45.45 - $56.81 Hourly
