About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of projects conducted within an embedded research program that is set within the Nova Scotia Health Cancer Care Program (NSH CCP). The Project Coordinator will assist the Principal Investigator with project/study management, administration and conduct. This includes the administration of related projects, support for clinicians, literature reviews, report composition and database management. Further responsibilities will include managing REB submissions, overseeing and supporting literature reviews, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, drafting reports, preparing project summaries and manuscripts. Experience in project/study coordination/management, developing study protocols and REB applications, liaising with multi-site /multi-disciplinary teams, knowledge translation or community/stakeholder engagement experience is essential. An interest in and understanding of learning health system principles would also be an asset. Candidate must be a demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
 

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • Master’s degree in a health sciences or social sciences discipline (e.g., psychology, epidemiology, community/public health) required
  • Minimum of three years research experience and/or project coordination required
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, email and internet
  • Familiarity with qualitative/quantitative analysis software package such as NVivo, SAS, R required
  • Familiarity with health research required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and teaching skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Effective research and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and rapport-building skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Demonstrates understanding of own role and responsibilities
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Long Assignment, Full-Time / 75 Hours Bi-weekly 
  • May 2025 to May 2026, approximately 12 months

Compensation and Benefits

$38.36 - $47.95 Hourly
