About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, OPOR Project Management Centre of Excellence (PM CoE), the Project Lead is responsible for providing a high level of organization and support for the OPOR Program team.  The tasks performed by the Project Lead are essential to provide accurate and timely data and support for decision-making by senior management and day-to-day program management.   

The Project Lead works closely with clinical informatics leads, managers, vendors, and project managers to support project activities. In this role, you may support multiple managers, leads, project managers, or departments. The OPOR Project Lead is responsible for following and adhering to standard policies and procedures and prescribed guidelines and industry standards when completing duties. This position involves varied work within general project management procedures, which requires judgment and initiative and is expected to be able to balance a heavy workload and multiple competing tasks.   

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following: 

  • Undergraduate degree. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience. 
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience within health care informatics, project management, programs and services.   
  • Knowledge and skills in the areas of Project Management methodologies, OPOR, IM/IT, and CSDS tools, applications and systems of support is considered an asset
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation is considered an asset. 
  • Knowledge and experience in clinical informatics is considered is consided an asset.  
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and/or organizational change management certification is considered an asset. 
  • COBIT Training is considered an assest. 
  • Strong knowledge of health care issues. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and influencing skills. 
  • Highly self-motivated, directed and change oriented.  
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint

Hours

  • Long-assignment, Full-time Positions; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Approximately 24 months (assignment length subject to change)
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Travel may be required 
  • Shifts may be required during implementation phases include days, nights and weekends

Compensation and Benefits

$29.91- $37.38 Hourly
