The NSH Integrated Workforce Planning Team aligns the delivery of health care services with targeted workforce strategies, to optimize the workforce using the Recruit, Retain, Redesign and Educate framework.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the manager, the Integrated Workforce Planning Consultant is responsible for supporting organizational leaders in effectively addressing workforce demands to ensure patients receive the right care, from the right provider at the right time.
This position plays a key role in embedding operational insights into all workforce planning initiatives. With a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making, the Consultant collaborates with operational leaders and key stakeholders to ensure the health system maintains the necessary capacity to accommodate new employees and learners.
The Consultant provides strategic and operational support in workforce planning activities and actively engages partners in the validation of workforce data. Additionally, the role involves identifying workforce-related challenges and opportunities and working collaboratively with Interprofessional Practice & Learning (IPPL), People Services, operational teams, and other stakeholders to develop and implement appropriate mitigation and adaptation strategies.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Post-secondary education in the areas of Communications, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or Business Administration required.
- Equivalencies of education or experience may be considered.
- Current registration with professional association required if applicable.
- 2-5 years’ experience in health care and/or project management capacity.
- Knowledge translation skills, able to tailor presentation of data and analytics to a diverse audience.
- Flexible and adaptable working style, comfortable working in an environment that is changing and evolving.
- Ability to identify risks and propose mitigation or adaptation strategies to facilitate the achievement of operational targets.
- Knowledge and understanding of health professions is an asset.
- Strong organizational and process management skills.
- Sound knowledge and skill working in a team setting.
- Ability to think critically, quickly, and accurately; creative problem-solving ability.
- Demonstrated leadership in facilitation with multiple stakeholders and service providers.
- Proven ability to build, enhance, foster, and maintain effective relationships.
- Superior communication skills – written, oral, presentation.
- Ability to work independently and identify priorities.
- Experience with project management and/or coordination would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel), email, internet.
- Ability to navigate change and support change management initiative.

Compensation and Benefits
$38.36 - $47.95 hourly
$74,806 - $93,507 annually
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
