About the Opportunity

The ATE Onboarding Manager, reporting directly to the Director of ATE, is a key member of a three-person managerial team collectively responsible for overseeing a workforce of several hundred staff across the OPOR project’s At-The-Elbow (ATE) program. This position manages the full recruitment lifecycle for ATE Support Consultants, working closely with the HR recruitment team to coordinate candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection. The manager oversees and organizes all onboarding activities, ensuring new hires are fully prepared for deployment. They collaborate with the Education & Learning team leading the work to schedule ATE SC participation in required training sessions, aligning availability with program timelines and go-live readiness needs. Serving as the primary liaison between ATE leadership, HR, Education & Learning, and operational stakeholders, the ATE Onboarding Manager ensures that hiring, onboarding, and training schedules are synchronized to support the successful execution of multiple go-lives.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Strategic Workforce Planning – Partners with project managers, HR recruitment teams, and operational leaders to forecast ATE staffing needs for each Go-Live. Develops and executes comprehensive hiring plans, ensuring recruitment timelines and processes align with project milestones.
  • Full-Cycle Hiring Oversight – Leads and coordinates the end-to-end recruitment process for ATE SCs, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and final selection. Ensures diversity, quality, and readiness in candidate pools.
  • Structured Onboarding Programs – Designs and manages a consistent onboarding experience for new hires, including role orientation, tool and process familiarization, and introduction to OPOR workflows. Ensures onboarding materials remain up to date and aligned with evolving operational requirements.
  • Education & Training Coordination – Works closely with the Education & Learning team to plan and schedule all ATE SC training sessions. Confirms that every SC receives the required system navigation, workflow, and support methodology education prior to deployment. Coordinates refresher and reinforcement training where needed.
  • Deployment Readiness – Confirms that all ATE SCs are appropriately trained, equipped, and prepared to deliver high-quality go-live support. Works with site leadership to align staffing assignments to departmental needs.
  • Performance Monitoring & Feedback – Establishes feedback mechanisms to assess onboarding and training effectiveness. Uses data, site reports, and leader input to refine hiring criteria, onboarding processes, and education delivery.

This role is essential to ensuring that every OPOR Go-Live is supported by a fully staffed, well-trained, and operationally ready ATE team, enabling a smooth transition for end-users and maximizing adoption success.

 

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in a health, HR, or technology related field. Consideration may be given to those with appropriate training and work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ leadership experience (either formal or informal) within healthcare (clinical, clinical informatics, logistics, IT, Project Management etc.)
  • Project Management and change management certification would be considered an asset.
  • Strong clinical informatics experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the implementation of evidence-based practice in a clinical setting.
  • Broad knowledge of the applicable standards of practice and guidelines for clinical practitioners.
  • Demonstrates strategic, creative, and strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Uses effective leadership, facilitation, communication and negotiation abilities to achieve consensus, resolve conflict, achieve desired outcomes and address potential barriers to success.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute plans and ensure timelines are met while working with a variety of stakeholders.
  • 2–4 years of experience in HR, employee experience, or onboarding coordination preferred.
  • Days, nights, weekends, holidays may be required as part of the managerial team during hyperphase
  • Travel to various sites within the province may be required.
  • Experience working with remote/hybrid teams preferred.
  • Proven ability to apply quality management principles and processes.
  • Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units

Hours

  • Long-assignment, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly 
  • Approximately 12 months (assignment length is subject to change) 

Compensation and Benefits

$46.36 - $57.95 Hourly
