About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Health Services Director, WZ Women and Children’s Health & Site Lead SSRH, the Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to portfolio leadership and coordinates daily operations. The role supports quality standards, policies, and improvement initiatives at the site and provides client service to the Director. Additionally, the Assistant acts as a liaison between management, staff, physicians, and the community, offering confidential administrative services and ensuring the efficient operation of the SSRH Director Program and Department portfolio. The Administrative Assistant exhibits sound professional judgment and initiative while working within the framework of the Vision, Mission, and Values of Nova Scotia Health.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or secretarial program required
- Undergraduate degree is an asset
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience, providing administrative support and office coordination at the Executive level required
- Experience within healthcare and within an integrated service model provided throughout several locations with multiple partners and stakeholders is preferred
- International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) certification is an asset
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization and organizational skills
- Demonstrated competencies with advanced skills and abilities in all facets of modern office practices and technology and with information and meeting technologies (including Microsoft Office and Outlook, SAP, data theming software)
- Experience utilizing technology for meeting planning to create efficiencies and streamline tracking and retrieval of information
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high degree of tact, judgment and confidentially
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
Compensation and Benefits
$24.85 - $31.06 hourly
