About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of Sustainability & Improvement, the Clinical Product Coordinator works collaboratively with Supply Chain Operations teams to ensure the effective and efficient procurement and sourcing of supplies, equipment, and services for NSH programs.

The Clinical Product Coordinator serves as the clinical resource within Supply Chain, investigating and communicating emerging clinical product and technology trends. The role leads product standardization and utilization reviews for medical and surgical categories, identifies product requirements and standardization opportunities. The incumbent coordinates clinical product evaluations, collaborates with clinicians to assess clinical acceptability, and provides evidence‑based product recommendations that support quality of care and cost effectiveness. Responsibilities also include coordinating product education and implementation, and managing product complaints.

In addition, the Clinical Product Coordinator performs end‑to‑end Supply Chain functions for assigned projects and programs, including product code creation, spend analysis, sourcing substitute products, resolving pricing discrepancies, and coordinating contract changes.

This role also supports stakeholders in navigating procurement processes related to HealthPro contracts, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures while providing consistent, efficient support. The Clinical Product Coordinator assists in developing creative solutions to unique situations and facilitates access to innovative, high‑quality products that support the care needs of Nova Scotians.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • Undergraduate Degree in related field required
  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical practice / clinical product sales / clinical product procurement required
  • Certificae in Public Sector Procurement Program (PSSP) and/or Supply Chain Management Professional designation (offered by Supply Chain Canada) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
  • Experience with SAP; an asset
  • Demonstrate verbal, written, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent people skills to effectively work in a team environment
  • Project management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment with competing priorities
  • Working knowledge of med/surg products
  • Working knowledge of material management procedures
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly 

Compensation and Benefits

$37.79 - $44.28 hourly
