Eastern Passage Family Practice is located in the growing coastal community of Eastern Passage within the Halifax Regional Municipality. The practice is based in a new, oceanfront Nova Scotia Health clinic and is supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that includes two family physicians, two nurse practitioners, a family practice nurse, social work, dedicated administrative staff, and utilizes the MedAccess EMR system.
Job Description
Eastern Passage Family Practice is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide Locum coverage for June 10 to 29, 2026.
Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage within the Atlantic provinces, per diems, accommodations reimbursment (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week.
Qualifications
- All applicants must be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- All family physicians must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
