Company Description

Inverness Community Health Centre is a rural family practice located within a collaborative community health centre .The practice offers a diverse team of providers, including family physicians, independently practicing nurse practitioners, family practice RNs, a Diabetic Education Clinic, social work, and a registered dietitian. Administrative support is shared with one other physician, and on-site Mental Health Services are located nearby. Adjacent to the local hospital, the clinic provides seamless access to additional services and resources. The practice uses Telus Med Access EMR, with optional opportunities to participate in emergency department and/or hospitalist coverage for those interested.

Job Description

Inverness Community Health Centre is seeking continuous or intermittent coverage for the year between October 2026 and October 2027 for a roster of 500 patients.

Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.
