Job Description

The Middle Sackville Medical Clinic is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage October 1st, 2026 to February 1st, 2027. 

Responsibilities

  • delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
  • work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access
  • utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members

Remuneration

  • guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day)
  • additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.
  • accommodations up to $300 per night 
  • travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500)
  • travel time up to 10 hours per week
  • licensing fees for College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSNS)

Clinic Details 

The medical clinic in Middle Sackville is seeking a Family Physician to replace an existing family physician.  This clinic is located centrally, with a comfortable commute from Halifax. The clinic is a collaborative practice with 3 family physicians and a family medicine OB physician. The clinic is well maintained, professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff and billing specialist. This position comes with an existing patient roster.
