About the Opportunity

Expression of Interest for sponsorship to attend the Emergency Nursing Program (ENP). The program will be 12 weeks in length. It will include full-time study aimed at ensuring the nurse achieves the knowledge, skills and abilities required to meet the program competencies. The program will be aligned with a transition to practice approach, with blended clinical and study time, that will support the nurse in transferring program competencies into their Emergency care practice. Students accepted into the program will also be scheduled for regular periods of orientation in the emergency environment with the purpose of providing further support in transitioning to this specialized area. 


This is a full-time program, running from February 3rd until April 25th, 2025.


Successful applicants will agree to complete the program and continue working for a minimum of twelve (12) months as a Registered Nurse in the assigned unit and will be required to sign a Return of Service Agreement.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Currently working as a Registered Nurse within Nova Scotia Health
  • Minimum of one (1) year acute care experience required
  • IMCU experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits

$39.76 - $49.01 hourly

$50.73 hourly with 25 years of RN experience
