About the Opportunity
Reporting to the MH&A Director Policy and Planning, the Consultant is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of MHA services, standards, guidelines and best practices and treatment services for individuals living with mental illness and addictions. The Consultant works to facilitate implementation plans associated with health services planning and contributes to quality improvement initiatives, may include but not limited to developing and implementing new models of service delivery and supporting workforce development initiatives.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in health related discipline (Health Promotion, Public Health or Health Education preferred)
- Minimum five years related experience utilizing health promotion framework to inform policy changes and to develop programs aimed at promoting health, preventing disease, enhancing population health outcomes required
- 3 years of experience with progressive accountabilities for program design, implementation and coordination preferred
- Background and experience in research methods, policy development, analysis and critical appraisal including awareness of evidence informed decision making;
- Understands the principles of project management and demonstrated ability to create and lead complex work teams preferred
- Experience working in a healthcare setting and/or with healthcare organizations would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience managing projects an asset
- Experience interpreting and analyzing data.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including report writing and presentation/engagement skills.
- Proficient application of word processing, excel, database, PowerPoint and graphics software required
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Critical thinking and analytical problem solving.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent Full-Time Position; 75 hours biweekly
- Remote position, travel to various sites may be required
Compensation and Benefits
$37.60 - $47.01 Hourly
